‘AT’ stands for Assistive Technology and covers a wide range of specialist technology that has been designed to support different disabilities and learning needs. These can be made up of a mixture of both hardware and software technology. You may have been awarded AT through a variety of channels (possibly Disabled Student Allowance (DSA), or Access to Work (AtW)) or have identified the benefits for yourself.
What makes Vocendi unique from others is our approach when it comes to integrating the technology around the person’s disability , specific learning differences and course or work requirements. Unless otherwise requested all our training is delivered face to face and tailored around your individual needs. Many organisations cut corners and forget the real purpose of the service they’re offering. We really do care. Our trainers have both technological expertise and training experience to be able to offer quality support to the students they see. Training can include development of skills such as organisation, research, referencing and time management.
Behind the scenes we operate a quality assurance system which provides both us and assessors with key performance indicators. This of course means we are always reflecting on how we’re doing and how we too can develop and improve. If you have any feedback please let us know here.
We are registered with the DSA Quality Assurance Group and as such can guarantee quality provision.
